Sublimation Printing Wristbands: Machines and Processes
Update time: 2024-07-19 17:35:10
Sublimation printing, also known as dye-sublimation, is a popular method for producing high-quality and durable prints on polyester materials. This technique is commonly used for creating customized wristbands. Here are the specific machines and processes involved:
1. Machines Used Sublimation Printer:
Function: Prints the design onto special sublimation paper using sublimation inks.
Example Models: Epson SureColor F570, Sawgrass Virtuoso SG500/SG1000.
Heat Press Machine:
Function: Transfers the printed design from the sublimation paper onto the polyester wristband material using heat and pressure.
Example Models: Geo Knight DK20S, HIX SwingMan 20.
Cutting Machine:
Function: Cuts the polyester material into the desired size and shape, typically 350*15mm or custom dimensions.
Example Models: Graphtec CE7000, Cricut Maker.
2. Processes Involved Design Preparation:
Software: Use graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW to create or edit the wristband design.
File Preparation: Ensure the design is correctly sized and mirrored, as the sublimation process will opposite the image.
Printing:
Sublimation Paper: Load the sublimation paper into the sublimation printer.
Printing: Print the mirrored design onto the sublimation paper using sublimation inks.
Cutting the Polyester Material:
Material Preparation: Choose polyester material suitable for sublimation, typically pre-cut to 350*15mm or as per custom specifications.
Cutting: Use a cutting machine to cut the polyester material to the desired dimensions if not pre-cut.
Heat Press Transfer:
Setup: Preheat the heat press machine to the recommended temperature (typically around 400°F or 200°C).
Positioning: Place the printed sublimation paper on the polyester material, ensuring the design is correctly aligned.
Pressing: Apply heat and pressure for the recommended time (usually around 30-60 seconds) to transfer the design from the paper to the polyester material.
Cooling: Allow the material to cool before handling to set the design.
Final Assembly:
Inspection: Check the wristbands for any defects or incomplete transfers.
Packaging: Package the wristbands as required for distribution.
Design Preparation: Create and prepare the design.
Printing: Print the design onto sublimation paper.
Cutting the Polyester Material: Cut the material to the desired dimensions.
Heat Press Transfer: Transfer the design using a heat press.
Final Assembly: Inspect and package the wristbands.
These steps ensure high-quality and durable sublimation printed wristbands, suitable for various promotional, event, or personal use purposes.Contact us to customize your ideal sublimation printed wristband.
